Which calculator do you need?

Most store owners don't need all six. Start with the question that keeps you up at night:

  • "I sell, but I don't know if I make money." Start with the Shopify profit calculator. It shows your real profit after every cost and the one number that moves it most.
  • "Something is off, but I don't know what." Use the ecommerce KPI checker. It puts all 17 KPIs in green, amber or red and ranks the fixes by profit.
  • "My margins feel thin." Use the product pricing calculator. Most prices are set on product cost and forget the cost of getting the customer.
  • "I don't know how much to spend on ads." Use the marketing budget calculator. It works out what a customer costs you and what you can afford.
  • "My ads aren't profitable." Use the ROAS calculator. It tells you if the problem is on the ads or on the website.
  • "My conversion rate looks low." Use the break-even conversion rate calculator. Low is only a problem when it's below your break-even.

One thing they all show

Run any of them with your numbers and you'll see the same pattern: a small improvement in conversion rate or order value is worth more than a big increase in ad spend. More visitors who buy, and bigger orders from the visitors you already pay for, lower what every customer costs. That's what A/B testing your store is for. Frequently asked questions

Which calculator should I start with?

Start with the Shopify profit calculator to see whether your store makes money and which number matters most. If the answer is price, use the product pricing calculator. If it is ads, use the marketing budget and ROAS calculators. If it is the website, check your break-even conversion rate.

Are these calculators free?

Yes. No sign-up, no email. Everything you enter stays in your browser, and you can copy a link with your numbers to come back later or share them with your team.

Do they work for stores that are not on Shopify?

Yes. The maths is the same for any online store: WooCommerce, BigCommerce, Magento or your own site. Shopify is only used for examples like payment fees.

How accurate are the results?

As accurate as the numbers you enter. Where you don't know a number yet, the calculators start from common e-commerce levels (for example a $30 CPM or a 2% conversion rate) and say so. Replace them with your own numbers from your ad account and store analytics.
